Hosted by MAKAAM and UN Women, this consultation took place on 27th and 28th January at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. It was attended by over 70 participants, including members of national and international press.
As a part of the consultation, delegations of women farmers and activists met officials from various government departments like agriculture, NITI Ayog, National commission for Women and presented a charter of demands and requested them for taking necessary action.
Media persons present at the consultation and the press meet held on 28th afternoon covered extensive stories of women farmers and highlighted the demands put forward.
