A draft national policy on Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) was circulated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare in June 2024, which was made open to the public for feedback. MAKAAM reviewed the draft policy and submitted recommendations reflecting our priorities and concerns, mainly pointing out the fact that there was a distinct lack of a gender perspective.
