Dr. Soma KP of MAKAAM spoke at the Plenary Session on Women’s Leadership for Commons at the Commons Convening 2024. She emphasized the need to recognize women as equal citizens and stewards of Commons ecosystems. The session focused on addressing systemic barriers and gender inequities that limit women’s access to land rights and participation in governance. It also underscored the importance of promoting women’s leadership in managing Commons and forming partnerships for ongoing engagement and action.
