In 2020, MAKAAM and organisations from six states conducted three rounds of surveys in eight research sites. The women farmers were from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh (Bundelkhand), Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. The study employed an extensive questionnaire to create detailed profiles of 40 women farmers and documented their experiences with agroecological farming. Of these 40 women farmers, we identified fifteen profiles.
We are pleased to present fifteen case studies that showcase the inspiring stories of women farmers from diverse regions nationwide. The women featured in these studies have demonstrated exceptional dedication and proficiency in their agricultural pursuits. We hope that their experiences and insights will offer valuable lessons.
