On August 13th & 14th, three networks – MAKAAM, NCNF, and RRAN (supported by PRADAN) met at the Gnostic Centre, Gurgaon, to develop a roadmap for mainstreaming gender into agroecology.
There were intense discussions focused on redefining agroecology by incorporating a gender perspective and developing strategies to build women’s leadership at the household, community, and organizational levels.
The ideas and interventions discussed will be further refined in upcoming consultations with partners of the three hosting networks, leading to the development of an Action Plan for Gender Transformative Agroecology.
